TopSense – Baby™ (Home and professional use)
The Nexense™ ChildCare System is designed to give parents a tool to monitor a child's well being and to alert them, at a very early stage, to potential abnormalities in the child's development. The System may be used for the monitoring of the following age groups : Infants (1-12 Months), Toddlers (1-3 Years) and Children ( 3-12 Years).
The System highlights all irregular events of the predefined parameters that occur during the designated period of reference such that a user may browse through the data and retrieve the desired information. Irregular events refer to all detected activity that fall outside the acceptable predetermined ranges of all parameters measured. In the event of abnormalities are detected, the system can provide various alert mechanisms. The data can be logged on a disk on key for a further analysis of a physician, if required.
The following figure illustrates the cardio respiratory activity as detected by the Nexense™ ChildCare System. A 5 second segment (in centiseconds) of breath arrest can be seen whereby the alarm counter is triggered immediately and begins to count towards the predefined parameter for alarm setting. As soon as breathing continues the counter is interrupted and monitoring continues.
